Billini Hospital reopens in February

The remodeling and modernization of the Padre Billini Hospital will be inaugurated and put into service to the public at full capacity on February 1, 2012, after undergoing through reconstruction and equipment by IBT Group.

According the a note, the Padre Billini Hospital, founded by Priest Francisco Javier Billini on the 19th of June, 1879, is an institution whose primary function is to offer quality medical services to the neediest people in the country.

Although in operation, the hospital was in deplorable conditions in respect to infrastructure, with outdated medical and nonmedical equipment, with a large majority out of commission.  "For this reason it was necessary to rehabilitate de facilities, to offer efficient and adequate services to the population", it added.

The reconstruction and equipment of this project was executed by IBT Group, which has a contract with the Ministry of Public Health for the construction of various hospitals.
