They finally finished the hospital!, exclaimed a patient when she saw that workers were painting the facade of the Padre Billini Hospital in the Dominican Republic, under reconstruction for more that two years and due to open this Wednesday, February 1st, 2012. The project was undertaken by IBT Group and financing provided by Deutsche Bank, Anonymous Spanish Society, within a Commercial Credit Agreement.
From the roof and walls, to the floors, the infrastructure of the Padre Billini Hospital was completely remodeled and equipped for $15.8 million dollars. Within the new additions is the acclimatizing of the waiting areas and hallways, expansion of the emergency room, new consult offices, new floors, new electrical systems, windows and doors. The Hospital includes a new division between pre and post surgical spaces within the surgical areas, expansion of habitation spaces, as well as changes in X-Ray equipment and a tomograph. The hospital is equipped with the latest medical equipment, such a medical gas and fire prevention systems.
The hospital includes two floors, with a capacity for 120 bends and a new intensive care unit.
